Quickstart guide

For a minimal setup you’ll need 3 things

#1 An account you want to connect to
Login to MaxGo Manager. You’ll see your active account to the top right. You can click on that to get a list of your accounts by selecting “Switch account”
If you don’t have and account, the Manager will ask you to create on after login.
Note the account ID (XXX-XXX-XXX) and the account password.

#2 An up to date version of the Staging app
You’ll need at least v1.1.0 of the Staging app installed. Click here to get the app for the correct device.
Download and install the app on your device.

#3 The Manager app
Click here and download the latest version for your device.

Set up
After installing the two apps, open the MaxGo Manager app.
Enter the account ID and password (if set) and tap on the check mark.
The app will validate the input and set up the device. The device will apply the configuration of the default config group and will show up on the website shortly after.

Terms in this document

User: The user is your login to the system consisting of a email address, password and your name. A user can have access to one or more accounts.

Account: An account is used to organize devices and configurations. Accounts are completely independent from each other and can be managed by one or more users. A device can only be assigned to one account at a time.

Device: A device identifies a hardware unit. Each device is assigned to one account and is identified by it’s serial number as well as a custom name and location. A device is always assigned to one configuration group.

Configuration group: A config group can have different settings, apps, etc. A group can extend a existing group to inherent it configuration or be completely separated.

Dashboard

The dashboard gives you an overview of the devices registered with the current account. You’ll see the total number of devices signed into this account as well as the number of devices that were active over the last 24 hours.

Device list

The device list shows you all devices registered with the current account. You’ll see the serial number, model, custom name and location, configuration group and the time the device last send data to the system.

You can use to input boxes above the list to filter the devices.

If you have many devices, the list might have more than one page. In this case, you can change the page at the bottom of the list.

To see details for a device, click on the eye-icon to the right.

Device details

The details view shows you information for one device. The selected device is indicated in the top with it’s serial number, name and location.

The information itself is organized into multiple tabs. Please note that depending on your account setup, not all tabs mentioned below might be accessible to you.

Top the left of the tabs, you’ll find a button to return to the device list

Summary

This provides a basic overview of the device metadata as well as the installed OS version, Manager app and battery level.

If Location tracking is enabled for the device group, you’ll also find a button to view a map of the last reported position.

Charts

The charts tab gives you historical data for different values reported by the device. In the top right you’ll find a date box that allows you to look at the reported data for different days.

Installed apps

This tab gives you a list of installed apps for the device. You can trigger several actions that will allow you to clear the app data, stop the app or uninstall it.
Please note that uninstall might not be available for some system apps.

Logs

Shows system logs for the Manager app.
